Inclusivity

Our retreat aims to be as inclusive of all LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people as possible.

LGBTQ+

Carrie and Sib are both part of the LGBTQ+ community, we are lesbian women (Sib also identifies as Queer). We wish to create a safe, respectful and inclusive retreat for all women identifying as LGBTQ+ and non-binary people.

Accessibility

Our accommodation is fully wheelchair accessible, including the kitchen and all other communal spaces for writing, relaxing and workshop areas.

If you have a disability and want to bring someone to assist you, this is possible at no extra cost and separate sleeping accommodation will be provided in the room next door

Some of the guided walks may be inaccessible for women with disabilities, (and some of the excursions have limited accessibility), however we will do our best to support you to access the walks and outings and other more accessible alternatives. There are lots of things to do in Hebden and the valley beyond. Please contact us to see if we can make this a retreat for you.

If you are D/deaf or visually impaired we would like you to feel welcome and safe. Please contact us to discuss your needs so we can make this happen.

Neurodivergent

If you are neurodivergent, please contact us to let us know how we can best meet your needs.

Economically inclusive

We recognise that our booking fee will be a barrier to many women being able to attend the retreat. We are just getting started so don’t have the funds to be able to offer discounted retreats yet. However, we want to be able to do this in the future so we have pledged to put 10% of our profit from each retreat week into a bursary fund to enable more participants to come on our retreats next year.
